The Original Blethers.

Before we set up the list on Yahoo Groups, Blair Folk existed on a facility provided by a local newspaper's web site. However, the volume and the quality of the messages provided too great a load on that system and it wasn't long before Blair Folk were asked to move on!

The messages contained on that site were too valuable a resource to lose. They form a unique view of life in Blairgowrie and its surrounding area and are a great advert for Blair Folk and what it offers. People, places and events are talked about from the 1930s to the present day and always in a kindly and often humorous way. The messages provide a wealth of nostalgic and sentimental material for those who have an interest in browsing through them. They were copied from the Newspaper's site before it deleted them and are stored on this web site in a database. You are welcome to browse through them to get a flavour of Blair Folk. For convenience they may be accessed in packets, a month at a time.
